I just recevied the same call! It scared the shit out of me... I recevied a voicemail yesterday afternoon from Logan Vose with the lawfirm -3 counts against me and they would come to my place of employment or home to arrest me. The number he said to call back to is 408-692-1047 for Vincent Robertson - Again a very thick accent that I could barely understand. My caller ID displayed 0000 as the number he called off of... When I called them back this morning he was very rude and said that I had to pay 500 right now or I wouldbe arrested... After reading all the posts I think this is a scam but not wanted to be 100% sure!!! Im in the state of SC and the loan was maybe 200 or 300 dollars. When I told the guy that I was currently unemployed and could not just pay 500 right now he became angry, had a few smart words and hung up on me. I called him back, he asked who I was and hung up on me again. Since then I have been trying to call the number back and it just clicks and disconnects... Should Ibe worried about this? Can yu go to jail in SC for not paying back a PDL?

Hi Erica,

First of all, criminal actions are prohibited in your state as per the PDL laws. And the call that you got is a scam. They use these scare tactics to make innocent people pay them. Don't worry, no one will come to arrest you.

File a case against them with the local police. Also check out with your phone service provider if they can block this number. You can also contact your states' Attorney Generals' office and complain against them.

Thank you so much for your comments. They scared me half to death, but when the guy became rude, hung up on me and then the telephone number he provided I called him back and it was like it was disconnected I began to think maybe there wasnt something right about this guy...

Thanks again for your help... I feel very relieved now :)

Most of these companies buy old accounts from other PDL companies (mostly illegal) in junk and they don't have all the info about the persons they are calling. They know most people will not even listen to them, so they use various tactics to scare people to pay. Don't listen to their tantrums. The more you'll avoid them, the lesser will be the calls. Best of luck.
