CollectCorp

Hi! An organization calling itself CollectCorp has been leaving voice-mail messages at my home. I am concerned that it may be a fraudulent outfit.
1. It alleges that I have debt. I don't. My husband and I live frugally. Our house is paid for. We paid cash for our cars. We pay off our credit card (in full) every month. We have combed our records, and we can find no debt anywhere.
2. The callers have begun to use that "We can help" line. I understand that debt scammers do this all the time. They claim you have debt and an upcoming court date; then they offer to take care of it all if you wire them the alleged debt amount asap.
What should I do? I would like to call the scammers back at their 888 numbers and read them the riot act. But what if they're legit (albeit mistaken)? How can I find out whether they're on the level? Do I have to deal with them to find this out?
Thanks for any enlightenment you can provide!
