Unsecured Debt

I have unsecured debt under 5k, and i do not have a job at this time, The credit card is actually in my ex husbands name but i am responsible for the debt, his name was suppose to be taken off the acct but never was, i have filed bankruptcy a few years ago but they are now coming after him for the money and he wants to take me to court for the money, can my wages be garnished if i do get a job? I live in MS

If your husband takes you to court and obtains a judgment against you, your wages may be garnished, depending on your state's law. Did you include the card in question in your bankruptcy?

If your name was never on this account, you could not file bankruptcy on the account.
If you were assigned this debt thru the divorce, the creditors wont really care what the divorce papers say. They will continue to pursue your ex.
