I want to pay a 3 year old payday loan

I want to pay checksmart a 3year old loan, I had been getting loans from them for some time and my account was closed due to a overdraft and of course there check was returned to them on a closed account. I heard from them a couple of times after that but havent heard from them again.this was 3 years ago. well as soon as I get my taxes I want to send them a money order for the loan plus extra to take care of intrest and thinfs like this but I dont want to call and talk to them cause corporate is a you know what. Can I just send them the money with my social security number on the money order? If I pay over oh well if I dont pay enough I could always pay them more. What do you think I should do?


Paul, extended payment plans, according to CFSA rules, must be requested PRIOR to default. The OP has explained that s/he hasn't paid on this loan for 3 years! The EPP doesn't apply here.

Please tell us what state you're in so we can figure out if you're beyond SOL, like SoapLady requested. If you are within SOL, then we can help you make a good guess at how much you likely owe and go from there.

What is SOL? I also have a payday loan that I have a collection agency aggressively trying to collect on. The loan is from last year, I closed my account at BofA and contacted the payday loan company the day I closed my account to make arrangements to pay but they wouldn't take a partial payment. Now they are threatening criminal charges and a judgment and garnishment
