advise on payment plan or settlement

i am not getting a good postive response from my creditors when trying to work out a lower monthly payment plan or settlement. what should i do? I have sent letters explaining my situation only to recieve a form letter with no reply to my proposals.

Settlement negotiations are not done by letters. You should call them and talk to them. You need to tell about your financial hardship to them. If they don't agree, then don't lose heart. Try again. They will, eventually, agree to your terms.
