Debt Consolidation??????
Date: Tue, 11/30/2010 - 12:29
I have been thinking about doing this for sometime now. I certainly don't want to have to file for bankruptcy if I don't have to. I am a college student and only have 6 months left before I get my degree in Wind Energy. I hope to have a job lined up anytime now within the next 2-3 weeks.
Anyways, I am in debt right around $18,000, that might be padding it a little too. I had a good job 3 years ago, but once the economy crashed I fell into debt since my only source of income was unemployment. I only have 6 months to pay off my auto loan so I won't be adding that in since it will be paid off by the time I am ready to do this.
Is there any places I can contact in Minnesota or even a nationwide company that I can contact that has a good reputation?
I truly appreciate any help in the matter.
Thank you,
DK

You would need to find an attorney locally. If you in the Twin Cities, there are a lot of good attornies, many who advertise on TV. Or you could do it yourself.

It is all 3 years old. It's a combo of 3 credit cards, a payday loan (very bad decision), and a personal loan through Wells Fargo. I will look into finding a attorney, I live up north, about 200 miles north of the Twin Cities.

They are all 3 years old. There is 3 credit cards, a payday loan (very bad decision), and a personal loan from a local bank. Also, a few smaller bills that total around $500.
