:( mybank Chase told me that they can't lower my int. rate since Obama changed the laws. :confused:


As per Obama's Credit Card Relief Act, the credit card providers have to issue a 45-day advance written notice to inform the consumers of any significant account changes - interest rate increase, annual fees for the maintenance of the account, credit card cash advance fees, late fees levied for late payments, etc. However, there is no clause mentioned about interest rate reduction. Rather, this act allows a consumer to get his/her credit card debts of more than $10,000 reduced to 50-60%.
