CACH Lawsuit

Why would a have to court dates for the same lawsuit with CaCh llc. I received a letter today saying I have a trial date for Jan 24 2011 and I rec a letter a couple of months ago for a date to appear on Jan 3 2011 both rec from the court house. Is this the norm for a lawsuit... I am in Texas.


I spoke with the courthouse today and was told that CaCh asked for more time; to be able to contact me before the court date. Which I have not been contacted yet and the number I have for their attorney goes to an ans machine...

I guess they where not expecting me to file my answers. Now they are having to work to prove their case.

How did they try contacting you? Did you receive a summons? If they made any real efforts to contact you, then you should be aware of that. If you get the summons and is not prepared to be there at the court, then the judgment could go against you.

I rec a summons to appear on jan 3 but rec one to appear on jan 24 I called the courthouse to confirm which day to appear or if I needed to appear to both. The lady I spoke to at the courthouse stated that Cach asked to resch to Jan 24 so they can try and contact me about the case before going before a judge
