NMAC wants to repossess my vehicle....

I have been to see the attorney to file my chapter 13 and is waiting for an appointment to set up the date in which to file the petition. I received a call today from my car company that they have submitted a letter to have the car repossessed (although the letter has not been approved). Since I am awaiting for my lawyer's appointment, I told them that they would have to contact the lawyer to get the case number. They told me that it doesn't matter because if I do not have a case number, they will repossessed the car. My lawyer told me to tell my creditors to contact the lawyer but these people are ridiculous. My note is behind. Is there anything I can do to prevent the repossession and the lawyer's office is closed today.
