I got a call today from a friend who received a threatening call from a process server saying she would be sued if I didnt call IAG Collections regarding an outstanding debt. I have never received a call from this agency or mail, so I called to find out more. They told me it was for a payday loan I took out online over three years ago from myloans.com before I found out from the Attorney General's office that online payday loans are illegal in the state of CT. I had called the AG because of threatening phone calls from my loans.com at my place of work, a practice which is also illegal in the state of CT I informed the collection agent, a Mr. Brandon Robinson that the loan was illegal in this state and that I had informed the Attorney General. He said since I took the money I committed an illegal act and then started interrupting and talking over me and hung up. What do I do from here?

stick to your guns and file a formal AG complaint as well as a police report as this idiot broke the law in stating you commited a crime.the only criminals are the lender, and IAG.do that then ignore them as they are not licensed period, and can only threaten.they want someone to argue with.don't give them that any longer.
