I've been on this forum website off and on and have read many insights on various topics. My question to everyone is...For those of you that chooses to do debt settlements or debt management programs, what are your recommendations?!? What companies have you been satisfied with?!? Not satisfied with?!? Good and bad stories?!? I'm in the process of entering a DMP program and needed some advice before going into this.

Before enrolling into a debt management program, make sure you have the money to pay the fees of the companies offering the program. Read the terms and conditions of the contract thoroughly before signing it. Make the monthly payments on time. Check the credibility of the company.
If you're planning to enroll in debt settlement program, then it is important to keep few things in mind - your credit score will drop, you'll be required to pay tax on the amount forgiven by your creditor, your creditors can still sue you, the companies can't charge any upfront fee and they can charge settlement fee after at least one account has been settled successfully.
