Timeshare in default

We entered into a 100 year contract with Allegro Vacation Club last January,2010. We haven't been able to make any payments since August 2010 because our financial situation changed. We live in Canada. What do you suggest because we don't want this to completely ruin our credit rating. Is there any way of getting out of this contract?

If this is a US property, it probably wont affect your canadian credit. You might want to do some searching on a canadian board for a confirmation.
