I have. a judgement on my credit file and I its my dads that passed away. I called the place where it was from and was told that they did not do anything wrong. I told them they need to fix it and that it was for the wrong person. And they said they are not wrong. And was not helpful I did not even get court papers to show up to court. For it. So I was not served court papers .

hang on a second--are you telling us that this debt was your dad

hang on a second--are you telling us that this debt was your dads and not even yours in the first place? If your name was not even on this debt, you need to contact the court certainly--to see exactly who they sued(you or your dad) and who they have a judgment against. And THEN you need to call an attorney, seriously, and sue these people for FDCPA and FCRA damages. If your name was not at all on this debt, they most definitely did something wrong in a big way. What company did this?
