I currently want to go back to school but do not want to take out loans. I already have current debt but do not want to create more. We have tuition reimbursement at work but every time i want to take 1 course and have saved up some $$ something always comes up. So the money i save always gets used on something else. Help please.

Take the following steps.

Pull your latest credit copy from all the bureaus and find out the actual status of each account.

Figure out if there is any inaccurate item reported by the data furnishers. This is hurting your credit scores severely.

Once you have gone through all the items, calculate the total outstanding balance that you have to pay to your creditors. Call each lender and try to work out a payment arrangement. They might drop down the interest rates and waive off the late fees. This will help in your repayments.

Calculate your total income and keep some portion away for paying the debts. Try to find a part time job so that you don't default in any of the payments set with your creditors. There are some companies who will withdraw all the benefits offered to you, in case the payment is missed.

You need to budget your finance in a proper way so that you are able to save more while paying the debts. This saving will be useful if some emergency arises in the future. You may also talk to a debt counselor for professional advice. He will guide you in the negotiations with your creditors. Or, you can hire them for consolidating your debts under one payment plan.
