 i'm literrally going insane and not knowing what to do whatsoever...i'm going insane

:x i used to live on my own and bounced checks that's worth 1755.92 on food and on credit cards i'm trying to get them consolidated there up to about 4000.00

i had to move out cause i couldn't afford to live on my own period and i was in really poor health so i had to go live with my dad where i'm currently at now.

i dont have a car, and i live in a suberban area
so i walk to work.

i make about 200.00 to 300.00 every two weeks depending on the sale in the grocery store...if it's low i would make only 100.oo every two weeks just about.

my dad always complains when picking me up at night because he works long days in the office. so i feel bad especially since his sick.

and he doesn't want me to get another job because of my doctors appointments followups but his been so busy it's been months now .

i cant live with my mom ..for personal reasons on her side.

so i'm stuck

with a $6038.62 debt.

i'm losing sleep and becoming sick from stress which causes me to go to the doctor

i wish i can 2-3 jobs if i can but that would be only if i can live in the city

but then i would have to live on my own which i cant afford

i dont know what to do

i need help finding out information on food stamps, rent supplements so i can live on my own but i'm the worse person when it comes to searching for stuff

i have to live near a city to get this debt paid for

what should i do!?!?

One option to get the debt under control, is to talk to a debt counselor and consider enrolling yourself in a debt management Plan. You would make one monthly payment that you can afford, and the debt counselor would then disburse the funds to your creditors until the debts are paid off. After you make so many consecutive payments (usually 5), most creditors will agree to lower your interest rates and waive any late/overlimit fees. This will help you get the debts paid down quicker. Because you are now making payments regularly and on time, this will be reported to the credit bureaus and help your credit score.

As for your applying for public assistance. You may say you're the worst person when it comes to searching for things, but you need to make an effort if it is this important to you, or at best, see if a friend will help you find the number of the local agency that you need to apply with for this type of assistance. Your local phone book should have a listing of your state offices.

Were the checks paid by the bank and you just owe the bank the overdraft fees, or were the checks returned unpaid? If they were returned unpaid, you've got to work something out with whomever you wrote each check to, because depending on your state's bad check laws, you could be prosecuted for check fraud.

If you just owe the bank the overdraft fees, surely you can work out a payment plan with the bank to get the fees paid off? Even if you can only give them $25 each time you get paid, that is a start.

How are you getting the credit cards consolidated? If it is a plan as I described above, they should be able to throw your check fees in the plan if it's just the bank you owe and they checks weren't returned as NSF, unpaid.
