Should I consolidate the cards?...

Hello!
I'm in WA state and here is the situation.
My mortgage resets and beginning from January I need to pay $600 more every month. I have about $40K on credit cards and really tired pay them off for about 8 years. This year I paid about $5K and another ~$37K still left. I didn't buy any stupid things, the story is common - loosing job, needed to pay to a lawyer, etc.
From another hand I didn't miss any payments, my score about 700, I have a job, a small business and I can afford to pay minimum payment + ~$300 per month.
What should I do? Should I go with the service and reduce the amount and the percentage rate (some of them are 19% apr)? Should I keep paying them the huge percent for another 10-15 years? I'm really tired to spend all extra money that are coming in to pay the cards and don't see that the amount is going down...
What do you think?
