WellsFargo HELOC settlement letter

Quick question for those who have been there. I paid my agreed settlement about 5 weeks ago to WF (17% settlement). I was told I will be getting a letter in the mail stating my account is settled, closed and paid in full for less than owed. I called last week and was told 30 days after you pay and the money has cleared, the account will be considered paid and my letter will be sent out. Still waiting for that letter! Just curious ( and a wee bit paranoid)

Did you deal directly with Wells Fargo or was the account with a collector? Do you have anything in writing which states their intent to give you a PIF letter within a given period?

I dealt with Wells Fargo Equity Solutions (aka collections) Dept. I do have two letters from there prior to settling. The first spells out the details (ie paid in full for less than owed, will report to credit bureau's ect). The second acknowledges our agreed amount and when it will be paid. I've called to check on my "closed account" letter and am told and have been told for a week "anytime." I know the whole deal is legit, just want that letter to confirm and be done with this.
