Downfall on this is Capital One doe actively sue...even on a $600 balance. You pay the court and legal costs.

I say you take a single crack at making a settlement offer and see if they agree. If they don't, see if they agree to setting up a payment plan in case $600 is too large an amount for you to pay in a single go.
