They keep leaving messages at my home simply because they are too lazy to do a reverse lookup of my phone number (which is a listed number) to see that the number DOES NOT belong to the person from whom they are trying to collect from. All collection agencies are SCUM, but this one tries to ILLEGALLY collect debts that were actually paid off, collect debts that were LEGALLY charged off in bankruptcies. Why has no one gotten a CLASS ACTION law firm and SUED THE CRAP OUT OF PALISADES COLLECTIONS FOR THEIR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY. For me it is a simple matter of filing my complaint with the FTC and the FCC. Let those Federal Agencies fine them or shut them down. Those agencies have easy to file complaint processes online, but it will take an onslaught of complaints for the Feds to act. You'll need phone numbers, names of persons and company and date and time of calls to file your complaints. Their phone calls and messages are a minor nusiance to me since the home they continue to call is a vacation home, but from what I read on this website....these people need to be SERIOUSLY SUED!

Everything is automated with most customer service and collection companies, as is everything else in the world today. It's not a person looking online to see that the number does not belong to the person they are looking for. Companies sometimes receive bad information from other companies and end up calling the wrong number. If they are leaving messages on your answering machine, why don't you just call them back and tell them they have the wrong number like a normal person? There are some bad companies out there, but you can't assume they are being malicious just because they are calling the wrong number AND you haven't even let them know that they have the wrong number. That's just silly.

Here's what you need to do.... call 1-800-414-8319 and press option 3 for the wrong number notification. You need to have the debtor number they leave on the voicemail with you before you call. You will enter the phone number they are calling and the debtor number and they will automatically investigate it and remove the number if it is inaccurate.

This happened to me as well with them and I called the number and the did as stated above and the calls stopped. It's that simple.
