I do not know how to coerce WNFFB to accept a smaller payment for my debt.

Creditors/collection agencies don't accept lower payments unless you are delinquent on them due to financial hardships. If you are really going through financial problems and it is not possible for you to make the full payments, then inform WNFFB about it. They may agree to lower off the outstanding balance for a lumpsum payment. You can even go for debt consolidation and consolidate your debt into a low single monthly payment.

It is true that you cannot force a creditor to accept a smaller payment for your debt. However, if you're in some kind of financial hardship, then you can always request the creditor to give you an alternative payment plan so that it becomes affordable for you to pay off the dues. However, it will be the discretion of your creditor whether or not he will accept your request for an alternative payment plan.
