Best PDL Threats!!!!!

I don't think that anyone is lying on here. They are just telling their experiences so others can beware and will know what to do in the future.

natdust-that wasn't what I was implying, sorry if I made it seem that way, I simply meant I wanted to hear what threats PDL's said to YOU. Sometimes when you put stuff like that out there people start saying what happened to their friend, or their friend of a friend, so on and so forth. It's ok, sometimes when you are writing something you don't get as descriptive as you should because you know in your own head what you mean. So what was the worst threat you received?

I had one internet pdl collector start to tell me that I was going to be charged with fraud. I immediately laid into her and her lies. She quickly stammered back, "Oh, Oh, I didn't mean you I meant the others" Whatever, that witch was just busted on making an illegal threat.

Go get em' Steeler1!!!!!!! See I love to hear that stuff, these people are doing nothing but tormenting poor people, lying and scaring them just so they get a commission off these debts they collect. For those of you that don't know, YES the majority of them DO get a commission off of the delinquent loans they get closed. So with that in mind realize that they are going to tell you whatever to get paid!

I don't understand why they are allowed to continue doing this crap to ppl, after all, there is numerous complaints filed against them everyday..

Most people don't know that it is illegal, most people don't know their rights. Also, they don't know who to contact when they HAVE been done wrong, I am merely two weeks into this site, but I have read so many posts and so many replies that I educated myself really quickly on these PDL demons. I have seen first hand what they can do. I have also promised myself that once I close all my loans and get more experiance I will look into becoming a moderator here, I want to help out as many as I can so people don't have to go thru what I went thru. The problem is we can only help "after-the-fact". How do we help them beforehand. If you don't have good credit, getting a loan thru regular channels is almost impossible. So getting a payday loan is almost a necessity to a large majority of the nation. I have found a good site though called "Prosper". It's is kinda similar to this site but it is people loaning money to other people. You have to do a lot more work on your side, but you can obtain a loan with bad credit.

Yea, I totally agree with you. It would be great if ppl would find this site, before dealing with these creeps. They would not only save a lot of money, but also time and stress too. What type of site is the "Proposer"??

Prosper is a site were you post your request for a loan, banks, lenders, and regular people and place a bid and basically tons of people can fund your loan but you pay prosper once a month for your payment. It gives people a chance because you can actually explain why your credit is where it is. www.prosper.com check it out, its free

I think up to like $25,000 I believe, it may be more. Anyone can apply, the worse your credit is the more detail you will have to go into. Just check out the site, read up on it.

And natdust, above all, be careful of what is offered on any loan sites - we've all been there, in need of money and reached the point of desperation, where we'd just about sell our firstborn for the cash we need!

WORST PDL THREATS...

-"you know we can have the local authorities there in 10 minutes to arrest you for fraud..."

-"if you don't pay this today, we will report this to every major credit bureau, call your employer and tell them that you have defaulted on this loan, and we will call every one of the family/friends listed as references on your application and tell them you don't pay your bills.."

Yes, I've heard the fraud lines, the cops are going to be at the door, but my favorite is that they were going to investigate my company for fraud. It's ridiculous what they come up with.

All of these ppl are idiots.. They are just a bunch of bozos that rip ppl off for there hard earned money. If you are dealing with them, watch out..

Yes, I agree the best part is to laugh at them, and throw state laws back at them. Let them know you know your rights and let them know your sending everything to your AG and the BBB.

I was speaking with one online pdl and I asked to speak with a supervisor. He pretended to go get one, but I could tell it was still him with a bad accent. So I just told him, I would pass the information along to the AG and he hung up the phone

So what did he do, hold his nose and then start talking? Geez, how stupid do these places think we are?

Sonny Patterson from Bass and Associates told me he was filing charges aginst me with the Harris County District Attorney at 5:00 and when I told him I had an attorney that had advised me that no such charges were possible and that he was in violation of Federal law by making such threats, he said "Good Luck in Prison" and hung up.

I had one collector call me at 9:44 at night saying he was from a law office, stating the police would be outside my door in the next five minutes to pick me up. after going back in forth with him for about 20 mins, the cops did not show up. So I asked him were the cops, he hung up

Hmm....if I remember right, aren't they supposed to limit calls to between 8:00 am and 9:00 p.m.?, or is that telemarketers? oh well - either way, that was pretty good, bdouble, keeping him on the phone for 20 minutes and then asking where the cops were. lol

That goes for CAs as well, they are not allowed to call after 9 pm.

i got a call around 9:30 at night from GFSIL but i didn't pick up, i just did my daily task I emailed all my pay loans my letters about 20 times each..i think i will the most hated person by them tomorrow morning when they get to work and see about 40 emails from me LOL wohooo revenge

Yea, some of those CA do call after 9pm..

I'm just waiting to see if Rt 66 tries to call me back. Armed with the info from Polly that they're now under investigation by my state AG, just let them TRY to threaten me when and if they call back! Whoohoo!

CA are suppose to contact you between 8 am and 9 pm, I filed a complaint with the FTC and AG of my state. I can't wait to see how this works out

oh Im sure we will, they are all losers, I mean what kind of companies stay open on Thanksgiving, I mean of course there are the necessary exceptions, but what actual companies would be open on that day? Just shows to me that these people are scum. I mean seriously, these people are so crappy that they come in on Thanksgiving and call people on a day that is meant for family. When people are supposed to be enjoying that day, instead they are being hounded and threatened while their family is around. It just makes me so sick.

well, I'm pretty sure they will call on Thanksgiving Day, since they have such a low opinion of us as a whole. I'm sure they don't care if they embarrass us in front of our family members. I'd just turn the phone off!

The collection agencies aren't allowed to call on Federal Holidays. Now for the pdls, that is a different story, they don't have a life.

I closed my bank account on Friday and am waiting for them to start calling as their funds were to be deducted today. I am kinda scared as I do not want them harassing my mother and father-in-law, which are my references. I already told my office staff to just send them through to me and I will tell them that I have contacted the AG, FTC and BBB. Hopefully they will stop all together. Also, can I email them the Polly letter and get a read receipt from the email sent and received? Thank you for posting this, I am preparing my self for battle. The bad thing his my husband does not know I have these loans and will be pissed when I tell him tonight although I got them to cover the money he was spending. Deep breathes, deep breathes.

rmalcom-have you sent letters already? How many PDL's do you have open? I did the same thing about a week and a half ago, and I haven't received but 2-3 calls, it also matters who you are doing the loans thru. Some of those PDL's are vicious. Now in my case this is true, but if it isn't for your company you can still use it since they will lie to you; when they call you at work tell them this: "I have already advised my company of my personal finance issues and they have advised me to tell you that all phone calls are recorded and I am now officially asking you to not call me at work or my company will turn the matter over to the local and state authorities." You can go adjust to your liking of course.

No, I have just finished creating the letters. I have nine internet pdls with the following companies; GFSIL, Arrowhead, CashUSA, Tremont, National Money Store, Cashnet, Onestepcash, Little Loan Shoppe and Magnum Fin. These loans have taken a total of $1,147 per pay check ($2,295 a month). That is almost my whole monthly income. What do I tell my two references when they start hounding them? I do not want my mother or father-in-law to receive repeated and threatening phone calls. Thank you for your help.

rmalcom, good luck in your journey you have to be firm and patience...after i got my first PIF letter 2 days after sending it...GFSIL is the worst there are hard to talk to, annoying, and make stupid threats.
in that letter it says they cannot contact your references, they have not contact mine they did call my job asking for a supervisor a few times until i tol the receptionist to get rid of them.
i got an email address just to email and receive responses from them and i email my letters about 20 times a day including on the weekend, his email i emailed one company 40 times and i got an email this morning, not a good one but i know i had pissed someone off. be avaliabl to them via email...after sending my letters only GFSIL and Route 66 has called.

Which PIF letter did you use? I have heard terrible things about GFSIL. You have eased my mind a bit. I work in a small office and have told the girls that answer the phone to be prepared for these companies to call and to be firm with them - provide them with my cell number, which is a pay as you go phone good enough to get messages from and return calls if needed. Thanks again, I am feeling less anxiety as I do more research.
