I was wondering if it is worth paying very small amounts to my creditors while waiting for my accounts to gather money to make a reduced offer to the creditor. I have always heard that if you are making an effort(even at 15$) that it is better than nothing at all. Does anyone know if this will help keep the creditors at bay while my money builds?

Is this debt in default? How long has it been since u have paid on it? If it's fairly new, then yes continue to send small payments and as ks said, they can't come back later and say u were avoiding them! Now, if u haven't paid on these in a very long time, then it's a whole new ballgame and u have to make a decision if u want to start SOL over again!
Just a thought,
Ang

Who is calling u? the original cc co or a CA?? NOt sure it will stop the calls unless it's from a CA then u can send them a cease and desist letter along with a debt validation letter. But if it's the original creditor, someone else with more knowledge will take over! :)
Good Luck star,

I really think it depends on the creditor. If nothing else, you can call them and let them know that you will be sending something, but are unable to send the full amount they are requesting. They may argue about it, but 9 our of 10 times, they are going to take what you send. Sometimes the calls will stop with a payment, but sometimes they don't because it isn't the full amount due and they will continue to call to get the rest of the amount, unless you make arrangments with them. Give them a call and see what you can work out.
