I recently had one paydayloan company take $540 total out of my checking account on the same day with three seperate withdrawals without warning me they were going to do it. This was most of my paycheck and now I have had 12, count them, 12! checks bounce in return at $30 a pop! Do I have any remedies against this company. I am very very frustrated and angry. They had no right to take that much at one time!

I already spoke to my bank. They said there's nothing they can do about it. I even tried to stop pay on the withdrawals and my bank said it was too late. In the meantime I had all those checks bounce that I paid bills with and I am currently $485 in the whole in my checkbook. I am praying to GOD the bank doesn't close my account. I simply don't know what to do and I am certainly NOT going to go and get another payday loan.

It had aleady posted. I did not notice until I went in the day after my payday to check my account and low and behold there were all those withdrawals. The guy I spoke with at the bank said it was too late to stop pay on them as they had already been paid. After that I called cashnet and told them what they had done and of course all that guy could say was, "well Ma'am you signed the contract." "Now, you still owe $90, would you like to set up a payment over the phone right now and I can take off $25?" After I had JUST told him 12 checks were bouncing because of what they had done. I simply hung up on him. Unbelievable. I suspect taht $90 will be taken out of my account on my next payday.

Contact the branch manager at your bank and explain the situation. THey can at least freeze your account and not allow anymore electronic debits to hit. I have just been through a similar situation. Just keep talking to the bank until you find the right person who can help. I had to talk to the manager of the branch I had opened by account.

You can use one more option if your bank sounds unsupportive for any help. Tell them to block the ID code of Cashnet 500. The company makes the debit with a specific ID code that is known to your bank. Give a strong explanation to your bank regarding the unnecessary debits made by Cashnet 500. The company was authorized for one withdrawal only as per the contract but they made three in your account. If you request them, the bank can verify the debits with the company. Cashnet 500 has to give a legal explanation for each of the debits made or refund the money back to your account.
