Grrrrrrrrrr, I am so angry I am finding it difficult to function right today, and it's all because of Timewarner Cable's customer service (or lack of).

They shut my cable off at the pole yesterday (unjustly so)!

All because an employee FORGOT to notate I called to make payment arrangements! By the way, I was ONLY one month behind.

Since 5:00 yesterday, I have spoken with 10 customer service people, been on hold a total of 3 1/2 hours, and disconnected 10 times! I have received apologies, but NO resolution! They are making me pay a disc. charge to have it restored and an extra payment to get it started back up again, but, oh wait, they still have no idea when that will be!! lol!!

To sum it up, they have my money (more than they should have!), I have no cable, and no idea when it will be connected!

I am waiting for a call from the President of Timewarner. lol!

Yeah OK, we shall see. I think it's another stall tactic! :? :x

I think this calls for another article. I'm seriously considering writing another article for The Consumerist about their [Timewarner] customer service. I am really peo'd about this. I'm seriously considering DSL, the only problem is, I will need to get a home telephone in order to do that. Grrrrrrr. :x

Well, I went to the office on my lunch, they tell me I am over paid by 70 bucks! But, still no cable, and no return phone calls!! My gosh, I remember when they use to have very good customer service, it's terrible now. They sound like a bunch of robots repeating the same thing "Sorry" "Sorry" "Sorry", but they do nothing to rectify it! :x

I'm happy for you Shazzers! I'm ashamed to say, I couldn't live without my cable and internet; it's pretty much one of the main things that kept me sane for the past year-and-a-half.

I'm with PaulMergel, I've got Comcast and I'm quite happy with them. I have, however, heard some pretty bad stories about Comcast customer service too.

I think there was a woman in Maryland (at least I think it was Maryland) that went into her local Comcast on a Friday to speak to a manager due to some issues with her cable service and bill. She was asked to take a seat and wait and was finally told, after having had to wait for two hours, the manager had already left for the day. This was on a Friday afternoon.

I guess she went home and stewed about in all weekend!

So on the next Monday, she goes back to the office and was pretty much blown off again. So she takes a hammer out of her purse and proceeds to smash up a couple computer monitors and some keyboards. Asking the people in the office "Have I got your attention now!?!"

Well the police were called, she was arrested, and given a restraining order and told not to return to that Comcast office for a year.

I've felt like doing that a few times myself, due to crappy customer service I've had to endure at various places!

I can completely understand where she was coming from. Sometimes that is really what you want to do and it's nice to know that someone actually did that, unfortunately for her it back fired on her and they arrested her. I remember the good old days when there were only three channels before cable tv and satellite tv. "Those were the days" from All in the Family theme song. (LOL)

The funny thing about the woman, I think she is in her 50's or 60's. So that made the story even more funny to me.

Could you see the news headline on the local news stations?

"Grandma goes berserk in local Comcast office; details at 11PM!"

Oh yeah, I remember the "three channel line-up" myself. And Heaven forbid the wind would start blowing hard while you were watching something, causing the antenna on the side of your house to sway and messing with the signal.

OK, I was pretty much incorrect about the fine details of the story; however, I got the central theme correct. Check out this link.

I tried making the above link inactive, then copying and pasting it into the address field of my browser; however, it wouldn't work. Maybe one of the moderators can figure out how to fix it so it can be copied and pasted?
