It's been such a sad day for me. My pet cat, which was 19 years old passed away last night. She was such a fighter, and so spunky. She was just like my little child. I know a lot of people don't get very attached to their pets, but after having her for 19 years, how couldn't have I. I sure will miss her.

Oh, shazz. I am soooo sorry. It breaks my heart to hear this. I hope you are doing okay. I have my dogs - who are my children. They are my babies. I couldn't live without them. Please know your kitty is in my prayers. And, shazz, know that she is now over the Rainbow Bridge. She is happy. I know you are feeling empty right now. But she will be watching down on you. I know she will. Please know that I am so sorry for your loss. :rose:

Thanks so much. It's really a terrible feeling, today I found myself saying her name. I called her Stella, and I know you guys will probably laugh but I use to call her Stella Sue. lol I have another cat with me [thank God] and her name is Della. I accidentally called her Stella Sue today, I just can't help myself, I loved her so much. She traveled all over the states with me, and she was such a good traveler, she actually loved riding in the car, which I always thought made her so unique. She's even traveled by plane with me. She's stayed in many hotels, and well, she was obviously my little companion.

What a beautiful kitty! Im so sorry for your loss shazzers. I am a huge animal lover, so much that I love animals more than humans. They love unconditionally! I know what you are going through, I have lost many pets in my life and its not easy. I have 6 pets now and catch myself thinking about the day(s) I lose them and that alone makes me cry. You will get through and just know that your kitty is in heaven playing with all the other animals and when the day comes will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge.

Shazzers I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Pets are so often just like your children. I know mine are my babies. Sometimes I like them better than my kids lol (they don't talk back lol) I know how it feels, we had to put our dog down a few years ago, now with our cat, it is a day by day situation(he is 16) thank god we have 2 other cats. My heart goes out to you :rose:

I am so very sorry, Shazzers! I understand your feelings, and I know how tough it is. A couple of years ago, I lost my dog- truly a best friend. She helped me get through some of the most awkward, turbulent years of life: junior high, high school, college. So many times when I cried, she would come into my bedroom, jump onto my bed, and lay her head on my neck while I sobbed. She was truly a comfort.

It took a long time to prepare myself for another dog, but now I have two young pups to keep me smiling ^_^

If it helps, just think that your Stella is alive and well somewhere, even though you cannot see it with your eyes. And someday, you can see her again.

Thanks yall. It's really hit me so hard, I am still in disbelief. I was so looking forward to the summer months so I could take her outside to sniff around in the yard. She just loved being outside, and always stayed in her domain. It was kind of cute the way she use to chase dogs and other cats out of the yard, she was so tiny but thought she was tougher than any other animal! lol Sheesh, I will really miss her. :(

Shazzers, I am so sorry to hear about your little kitty, her pic is so pretty.
I lost my dog last year, she had liver cancer and it broke my heart. I,too, am an animal lover.

We adopted a shih-tsu from the shelter and I still call her Ethel, my other dogs name. We also had Fred, who we had to put to sleep about 4 months later with cancer.

Hang in there, we are here to help, whether you need to be angry, cry or talk about her..KAren

Bless your heart Shazzers, I know how deeply one can love a little dear one. I have a cat and he is about six/seven yrs. old. He wakes me up every morning and sometimes I'll admit it can be annoying but sometimes I think only for a second of how much I would miss that. My little dear one, is epileptic and I know that as he ages, this condition will get worse and the unthinkable will happen. We had another cat when my son was small and we lost her when some dogs attacked her and killed her. The pain was horrible! I thought I could not love another pet as much, and now we have Bandit. Nicknamed, the "Bandelero" No other cat will be able to take your little one's place...and I believe that when we leave this earth one day, that we will see our little ones again too. Some people don't believe this, but I do. In the meantime....remember, there are so many little dear ones that need a home...once you feel up to it...you may want to visit your local animal shelter or get in touch with the ASPCA. God bless you Shazzers.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. Not a day has passed since she left this world that I haven't thought about her. meircats, in fact I have already visited the humane society, we have a local cat shelter. It's so hard to go there and just browse around and not want to take them all home! At one time I volunteered there on the weekends, but I have a second job on the weekends now out of necessity , and simply don't have the time anymore. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to continue working this second job due to my health, but when it comes to that point, I really want to start volunteering again at the cat shelter. Right now, I just don't feel right about getting another kitty, but I can almost bet that I will be right at the cat shelters door as soon as I am.

Shazzers you and I would get along so great! Im so happy to hear that you volunteer at the shelter and that you want to rescue instead of buy another kitty. When I got my second dog I made my boyfriend go to the shelter and pick one because everytime I go there I cry for days because I cant save them all.

I am really saddened by your loss. I too have lost pets in my life. They are like my grand kids (since I do not have any yet)and when they go a part of you goes with them.
