First you need to know that they cannot charge you with anything
First you need to know that they cannot charge you with anything. You have done nothing wrong. Second contact your states and Florida's AG. Then contact the FTC and tell them excatly what happened. Then file a complaint with the BBB. They are not allowed to disclose any information to a third party unless it is your lawyer. You probably will not be able to work with the original companies because when your check came back account closed they sell your account almost right away. You can try and contact them. But your accounts were probably bought by I-Collect. I am currently dealing with Jack Smith from united pay service. So far he has been ok but ALOT of people have had problems with him. I also had them call me and threaten me.. But I called I-Collect and they gave me his number. But I was stupid and sent them a couple of payments through western union. DO NOT do that. Send them a DV. Also send them a C&D so they will not contact you at work anymore. They are not licensed to collect. Don't let them scare you they are just threats. They couldn't even tell me how much my original loan was for and how much I paid on it already.

Then check out the website on the Fair Debt Collection Pratices Act and arm yourself with your right for the next time they call you and threaten.
