1. Long story here. I pulled my credit report and it shows 2 collections accounts for medical bills incurred for my dd who was 5 at the time. The accounts listed are identical except that one is dated 3/03 and the other 8/03 and they added some zeroes in the middle of one acct number. She only went once. She also had medicaid at the time which would cover 100% of her bill. The office got 2 copies of the card and even got the number over the phone from me, yet they never filed. I have started a dispute on this with equifax. Will this come off? I know they waited past the allowed amount of time to file a claim, but can they hold me responsible for their error? Why would they list the debt twice?
2. DH's cc is now with NCO. In dealing with them, can I get any fees reduced? Can I get them to remove the negative entry and show it as paid in full when I do pay it? What should I go for? This cc had a limit of 500 and I think they show the balance around 900 now. TIA!!

#1- check with Medicaid themselves, show them that report....if it truely has been paid 100% by them, it's sounding er smelling fishy as hell to me.....;)

#2- Ummmm.....not sure myself, highly unlikely they will. Did you mail them a *validation* letter? Or have you been dealing with them via the phone?
