I hear yet another collection agency conducting the bad business activities on the consumers. Know your federal rights and send a cease and desist letter to their mailing address.
Do send your letter through certified mail with return receipt requested. This will help you to prove the necessary actions you took from your side.
After receiving your letter, they are required to stop all the collection activities. If they violate the federal laws laid down in the fdcpa, you are in charge of taking legal actions against them.
To make your legal side stronger, you can also start recording the phone calls with dates and time along with the name of the caller. This will be more helpful when you will be willing to file a legal case against them.
