My husband and I are in our early 30's with 4 kids (newest one is a week old!). I am a stay at home mom (who could afford child care?) and my husband works in technical support for a large computer company. We are a one income family and have been since our marriage 4 years ago. I had less than 1000 in small debts when we married on top of a 14K student loan. This is my big burden. He had a few small debts less than 1000 too probably. We had incurred and paid off some medical bills and now have a 2500 auto loan with a family member. We have been blessed to come to our senses financially- not to accumulate anymore debt. Now we are dealing with the ramifications of our past choices. Our "biggie" right now is my student loan. I look forward to getting lots of great advice in the appropriate forum as I am about to have to make the dreaded "first phone call" to set things up for my student loan on Monday! Thanks for listening!

Hi Sharon! Welcome to the board. This board has helped me deal with creditors and it's nice to be able to have a place to vent about your bills or money problems, and always have someone here to back you up and support you.
It sounds like you are on the right track already! Good luck and keep us updated!
