Will I have to take out a student loan or my son has to obtain it?

My son will go to college next year and my daughter will go to college after 3 years. So, will I have to take out student loans or they have to apply for student loans themselves? Another thing - even if I take out a student loan, will I have to pay for it or my children will start paying after they get jobs?

Depending on your income your kids can get their own loans and grants. For undergrad, unless they get full scholarships I do not recommend private schools ....they are expensive and really no better than state schools. Your sons high school should have financial aid night where you both can learn more. If you end up borrowing for your kids, YOU take on the legal liability to repay them.
