If I opt for student loan deferment, can it make my credit score down? I am facing a financial crisis but have not been late of any debt payments yet

Student loan deferment doesn't hurt your credit score directly unless you miss out a payment before deferment or forbearance. The student loan deferment can also hurt your credit score in another situation. Sometimes, student loan deferrals can increase the size and age of unpaid credit card debt. This can hurt your credit score.

NO, it will not hurt your credit score. Try to get out f other consumer debts as soon as possible. Manage credit responsively.

Well, a deferment will be listed in your credit report! However, it won't affect your credit score. So, don't be late in making debt payments and opt for deferment as asap if you are having financial issues.
