I'm a cosigner that pays but still receive harassing calls/messages

Hello,
I'm a cosigner on a student loan. I have come to the reality that my friend I cosigned for isn't paying so I pay. Since I have been paying, I have continued to receive harassing phone calls and messages saying the loan hasn't been paid. I check my bank account and can see where the check has been cashed by the loan company! This has happened several times. I write the name of the person I cosigned for AND the account number on the check. Please help. I contacted the BBB and they didn't do much. Something else has to be done.

I am assuming that the loan is in default and as such, is do in full per the prom note. There is nothing illegal or harrassing about them calling and demanding the balance. Also be aware they will end up suing you and the borrower even if payments are being made.
FYI...the BBB can do nothing...they are simply a letter writing company.
