Soap Lady,, I have private loans. 8 of them, (Wells fargo, loan to learn, citibank,) They have gone into default. I am being sued for wage garnishment. 25% of my salary. How many loans can sue me at a time? How long can each lender garnish my wages for? Seems like I read something like 10 years?
Just wondering how bad this is....

THey do not sue you for garnishment specifically. They will all indivually sue you and win a judgment first. There is no limit as to how many can you you. Then they can persue garnishment and bank levies...however only one at a time can garnish you.

Depending on your state law, judgments are renewable for up to 20 years.
