How could ACS report co-signer to the credit bureau when I have not defaulted on my student loans because I have been in school the whole time? How do I clear my co-signer's name from this fraudulent claim on the part of ACS?

Has anyone co-signed the loan? If you have defaulted on the student loan, then it will be reported on the credit report of the co-signer also. anyway, if false information has been reported on the credit report, then you need to contact the credit bureaus regarding this. Soaplady can give you the best advice on this issue.

Are they reporting positively or negatively? Either way, your cosignor is just as legally liable as you. They signed a prom note and it is now part of their credit history....it is a liability that they are responsible for. ACS is legally entitled to report. Nothing fraudulent about this.

Turns out all my loans did not have a co-signer. I am the only person responsible for my loans yet every single loan info was reported in my sibling's credit report. Experian was the one who committed this breach of privacy. I have reported this to the FTC. Could I seek compensation from Experian for their major fatal error? I definitely did not want my sibling to know about my financial business or did I want to involve my sibling. This is beyond embarrassing to have my business be exposed to anyone other than myself.
