false informatoin on fafsa/loan documents

While going to school I got married culturally, and I won't feign my ignorance (or stupidity) then, when I asked my financial advisor about it being considered marriage under the law (both state and federal), they went ahead and filled my financial forms as marriage.
Does this change anything as far as owing the debt since this misinformation lead to more of loans then necessary?
Can I do anything to make the financial advisers or college take some responsibility in this by filling it improperly?

Probably not....they might have misunderstood you. You are not
Probably not....they might have misunderstood you. You are not legally married by the sounds of things...you should not even have brought it up. You are the one signing the documents attesting to the information in it.
