I would say YES, you enrolled in the class and that is the same as you passing the class. Most schools charge you at the time of enrollment not if you pass or fail.

Depending on the school policy and what is written in the handbook, which are the rules you agree to, you may be responsible for all collection and legal fees. If it was a state school, they can seize state income tax returns.

My understanding is when you registar for classes upon final enrollement for the semster your tution and fees are due. Well atleast that is how the colleges I attended worked :?

i took online course and i failed to get a student loan for the course. now my unpaid tuition is placed in collections, and threaten me with wage garnishment.
