Just wanted to throw out a BIG HUG to Cannr and Goudah (I hope you read this)...I joined this site on August 6, 2007 and I had 3 IPDL's and 3 storefronts. Well I now have two PIF's and a refund from the internet PDL's and the third I haven't heard from since sending my letters to them and the BBB, Ky Attorney General and KDFI. Two of the storefronts are taking payments on my terms and the last one will not accept payments, so I put the amount I pay the other ones into a bank account and when I get it all together I will pay it or if they take me to civil court I will show that I tried to make payments which they would not accept. I'm finally in control of MY PAYCHECK and that is a GOOD feeling...Thanks for all your help and advice.
By signing up a debt counseling session, your provided details (Name, Email ID and Phone No.) will be forwarded to the company advertising on the DebtCC. However, you have no obligation to use their services.
Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the payoff amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
