Hi everyone,

I've been lurking around the forums for awhile, trying to gather as much info as possible to help myself get out of payday loan debt. With all of the inspiring posts I've read here, as well as the helpful links, letters, and information posted, I've started the process to get everything taken care of.

Last night I started sending out letters via email, with the intent to fax them as well today. The Loan Shop has already agreed to give me a PIF! I know it's only one, and I have quite a few more, but this was just the incentive I need to keep going. :)

Thank you all!

Of course, now I'm battling with One Click Cash, as I've overpaid by $150, but hopefully we'll be able to come to a resolution soon.

Now I'm waiting on UnitedCashLoans, Cash Advance Network, and MMG Holdings to get back to me on my settlement offer, since I do still owe on the principle balance with them.

I feel so much better actually doing something about all of this, even if I have to argue with them every day!!

Also, an update on my situation:

Pay Day Loan Yes is beyond ridiculous to deal with; they told me that info about PDLs in my state (Massachusetts) doesn't apply to them, as they follow the laws of their state. I asked which state they are licensed in, and I received no response. I owe them $15 on the principle balance, and asked how I can pay that back to them. They said I now owe them $590 (on a $350 loan, and I've paid $335), but they can't tell me how they've calculated that. They also tried to debit my account after I revoked their ability to do so, and they can't explain to me why they did that.

I'm not having much luck with anyone else yet. Geneva Roth/LoanPoint USA is insisting I call them, which I plan on doing so when I'm out of work today. Some of them haven't responded to me at all. I figure I'll just keep re-sending the info I have to them until I get a response.

The number I have for MMG Holdings is 1877-766-7577.

Strange that they have so many numbers in so many countries. Well I had a loan with them for 200.00. I didn't even know I was going to get the loan because the rep cut me off before I could say yes, no or before she explained the terms and conditions, like we will draft continuously out of your account until we change our number to our American location and not St. Croix. That was six months and 1020.00 later. Had I realized they continued to draft out of my account sooner I would have put a stop payment earlier.......
