I just spoke with Christina from SSM and she told me that she got a call this morning from the "lender" and they have marked my account PAID IN FULL! I'm so happy right now. I was my only PDL I had and it's the last one I will ever have. I want to thank everyone here who helped me through this process. I have now made it my goal to help others. I'm in moral debt to you all.
I have some small questions...................shoud I still close my account at the bank? Should I contact my bank about the new news?
Thank you all again.

For sure keep going! Winning is the best feeling.
It kind of feels like you are stepping on the big guys for a change instead of you getting stepped on and have no way out. There is a light at the end of the tunnel after all! I've had a pretty bad year when it comes to finances. This here just made a world of difference to me.

Stacey, I am so happy for you. This is great news. I would close my account just to be sure. You do not want to take any chances. We have had members get PIF's nd then get reported to the credit bureau...I know it is not the same thing but my point is, you can not trust these companies to honor their word.

I have opened my new account with a totally new bank. I have brought the other account to the positive and have a freeze on it so nothing can happen with it. The bank of the old account is fighting to get me $650. In the letter I just got today, they are going after the repayment of overpayment and all the overdraft fees that SSM Group has caused! They are also reporting this company to the BBB and AG office as well. I did get an e-mail from SSM Group stating that my account had been 0 out due to the amount paid into the account.
It's nice to see that the bank is doing their part as well. I hope the bank wins!
