I received a call back from the owner at Netcashusa. (see topic "Netcashusa" for more no this story) He did also receive my e-mail so he knew my issue before we even spoke. He was very nice and simply said that "he did not have time to deal with arguments and attorney general letters, so he would zero out my account as of today and send me an e-mail stating I was paid in full." Guess that means he knows they are not licensed in Wisconsin! Here is a copy of my e-mail and his response. Also, for anyone else out there, this company is also known as Zipcash and North American Financial.

As of 5/14 your account with NETCASHUSA has been paid in full. If you have any further questions feel free to contact my office.

Re: Loan for (name removed), ssn# xxx-xx-xxxx

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing today in regards to my current loan. I have a loan out with your company for $250, of which I have paid $300 in total payments. Upon further research of my state's payday lending laws I see that you are not licensed to legally lend to Wisconsin residents, and therefore cannot legally charge interest.

I am requesting that my account be closed as paid in full with no further debits to my checking account and nothing reported on my credit. I am revoking your right to debit my account any further as of today, May 7, 2007. If you do not comply with this agreement I will have no choice but to report your company to the Attorney General's office.

I will be expecting your prompt reply to this matter and hope we can quickly and easily resolve this matter without having to file any complaints. Thank you.

Sincerely,

(name removed)

I also want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who has offered advice on this website. I really learned a lot and if it were not for this site I would still be struggling and in tears every day! I also received an acceptable settlement with Payday Select after sending a similar letter. They gave me a payment plan I can work with for my remaining balance (with no further interest charged) using money orders and they have not attempted to charge anything to my bank account.

Just one to go now - Paychecknow! I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again :)
