I followed everyone's advice on this site about contacting my internet pdl's and I am happy to say that Upfront Payday sent me an email today saying that "my loan has been satisfied and my balance is at 0." Hopefully, this is the first of many to come. I actually feel that there is hope in ending this horrible payday loan mess. Thanks again to all of you who answered my questions or just gave me encouragement. Talitha

Yes, but I have several more to go and three are with MTE Financial Services under several different names and one is with GFSIL and we know that they like to play hardball. I have just filed a complaint with my AG office. So maybe this will cut down the harrassment some. I am going to continue fighting though. The email this morning has given me confidence to overcome this pdl mess.

That GSFIL really irks me, they only give little piddly butt loans and act as if they are god when you default. You are right, they are mouthy and like to play hardball. The funny thing is as soon as you pay them off they have their operators call you and in very broken english tell you that you are eligible for another loan. I get a call every few weeks from them. I tell them, I had a horrible experience with their collectors and I am not interested.

The three pdl's I have that go back to MTE are Quickest Cash Advance...they actually email me as MTE. Also, Paychecktoday and 500 Fastcash. I have way overpaid 500 Fastcash and Paychecktoday according to California law and owe $30 on the principle of Quickest Cash Advance. I have way overpaid GFSIL also according to California law. Therefore, the only loan that I would remotely make any deal on would be Quickest Cash Advance. I have refused to talk to MTE via the telephone, but they are just as nasty via email.

Have you mailed them your state law on payday loans? So even though you have taken the loans out through other companies, MTE contacts you. I asked checkngo if I could deal directly with first bank of delaware and they told me no. At what point did MTE start talking to you or emailing you about the loans.

MTE is only directly emailing me regarding Quickest Cash Advance. 500 Fastcash and Paychecktoday are emailing me separately, but I know they are all under MTE...they also all have the same address. On Quickest Cash Advance, MTE was also listed on the loan agreement in tiny letters at the top of the page. Maybe that is why they deal directly on this loan. I just checked my Paychecktoday loan and it says MTE dba Paychecktoday. However, MTE has not contacted me directly about this loan.

Maybe they will as I continue not to pay anymore. I looked at the 500 Fastcash loan agreement and MTE is not listed on there, but their address is the same and from postings at this site, they are connected to MTE. Maybe they don't get involved with the others right away...thinking that I will think that they are all different companies. Although their mailing address is the same, their phone numbers all differ. Probably just a part of their shady dealings.
