I want to share my PDL success story with everyone with hope that it may inspire someone else to free him/herself from the PDL nightmare.
I joined this forum only a few weeks ago having 7 internet PDLs and have accomplished the following:
Loan Shop Online - borrowed $500, paid $1500, received PIF and $300 refund.
Unnamed internet PDL Company - borrowed $500, paid $1200 received PIF and partial refund (signed a confidentiality agreement so cannot share specific info).
Magnum Cash Advance/International Cash Advance - borrowed $700, 1 payment left and will have repaid $775ish. I sent the illegal lender letter and they were very willing to work with me. We'll see if I get the PIF letter after final payment is made.
Check n Go online - borrowed $1500 - one payment remaining, will have paid a total of nearly $1900. CNG was pleasant to work with, allowed me to only pay the original amount of my loan, plus original interst fee. They waived additional fees and allowed me to make bi-weekly payments that I could afford.
CashNetUSA - borrowed $700, have 1 payment left and will have repaid about $850. They've been OK to work with. They are a little snippy and pushy, but they did allow me to only pay the original balance and fee by setting up 3 payments for me. We'll see if I get my PIF from them.
Zip19 - Borrowed $500, paid $300 so far. Waiting for a response to my illegal lender letter and regarding my terms for PIF.
East Side Lenders - borrowed $300, repaid $295 via ACH debits, then sent a money order for $5 to PIF. They have not responded to any of my inquiries (which I send nearly daily). I have filed complaints with BBB and Ohio AG. They hit my account last Friday for $515. My bank has been wonderful reversing these charges and eliminating overdraft fees, etc. I did close the account on the advice of the account manager, who was very understanding. She said these "snakes will not stop"! I'm still sending them the same letter via email nearly every day. I'm so annoyed with the fact that they just completely IGNORE me (grrrr). I imagine when they receive notice of these final payments being returned due to "account closed, ACH transactions blocked," they may start trying to contact me.
So, this paycheck will be pretty much wiped out, but my next one will be mine, other than the final $240 payment to CNG. I feel like I can breathe again. I appreciate the advice and support I found on this forum. I would never have imagined I could negotiate through all of these loans on my own, especially in such a short period of time.
Next step - negotiating to pay off my debt. My goal is to be completely debt free by 12/31/10!
THANK YOU!!!

okay not sure what happened but here I go again!

WAY TO GO! That must feel so awesome and like having a raise! Keep up the good work and please continue to share so that those of us that are working through this journey as well will continue to have inspiration! I am so happy for you!!! :)
