Three weeks ago, I had 5 internet PDL's and could not afford to pay the fees any longer without defaulting on my mortgage, car loan, etc. I took the advice of everyone here and emailed, faxed, and mailed letters to each company letting them know that they were all in violation of SC laws and that I demanded a refund or PIF (depending on the amount I had overpaid them).

I got two responses so far: Payday select did a PIF--they were really easy and nice to work with. Zip Cash is offering a settlement with no refund which I have to sign something and fax it back to them. My question though is, if they owe me more than $200 in refunds, should I fight for the money or just settle for a PIF?

I just sent Geneva Roth a copy of an email from the Dept of Finances where they said, "In answer to your question if internet lenders are required to be licensed in the State of Florida, the answer in yes."
You might try to get a written opinion fron your State and send it to them. They wil always interpret the law to there own advantage unless you can prove otherwise. I am waiting for a response. I am trying to get a refund and they are trying to collect more money. They are very difficult to work with. I my case they violated the law by refusing to stop ACH withdrawals in writing which I sent to the Kansas attorney General, the BBB and other agencies with my complaint. I am even considering a criminal complaint with the US Attorney. They don't care.

Also, does anyone know how to get in touch with AIP by email or if they have a website? Everything was done over the phone with them and I have overpaud them by $185 so far and they are not responding to the messages I have left on their phone or the faxes I have sent. Thanks

Ok. So Zip Cash wouldnt give a refund but instead of arguing, I would rather it be marked PIF than having to keep handing them my money.

Still no response from AIP and NLS/cashadvance.net/GR Enterprises. I have sent them faxes and emails again today to stay proactive. Hopefully will get an answer soon!

I had some success with AIP over the phone . . . You just have to get the right person on the phone. Keep calling them and try to get the controller on the phone. The CS reps can't do much of anything.

See this thread:

About my experience with AIP. The name and extentsion of the lady I talked to is there, although I don't know if she still works there.
