Can anybody tell me what this means? "The following item is suppressed pending credit grantor update." This was an item that I knew nothing about and was getting ready to dispute....help! :) ~Mary

Is this remark appearing in your TU report? This happens occasionally with them. But, the funny thing is that I never heard it becoming "UNsuppressed".

I can only assume that these are some of the mistakes reported by the TU. This can either signify that the account is under investigation or is under dispute. Write a letter to the CRA disputing this item. If they have not removed this item after a couple of disputes from your side, it is incorrect info and has the reason to be removed from your file.

This is, in fact, in my TU report. Just got it today. I am just curious because I know that I didn't dispute it, but I am pretty sure this negative item is something that I didn't know about.

I will definitely look into disputing this item and having it removed. Thanks!

Keep copies of your dispute so that you have proof of all the actions taken from your side. Send your letters through certified mail with return receipt requested and document it in a file. You will need to prove things at the later stage if required.
