Can anybody tell me what is additional Medicare Tax rate? What is the threshold amount for the married filing jointly?

It is 0.9 percent. You have to pay this tax when your wage, compensation or other self-employment income crosses the threshold amount.

Additional Medicare Tax (also known as Medicare Tax) is withheld by an employer when one of its employee's income is more than $250,000. This cap is applied on individuals filing personal income tax return having 'married filing jointly status'.
