Can my sister make a debt validation request now?

I have a question regarding debt validation. I have heard that one needs to send a validation letter to the CA within 30 days. My sister received collection notices from a CA in Linden for around 7 months. She was not aware about validation or anything related to that. So, she didn't ask the CA to validate the debt also. What can she do now? Can she request the CA to validate the debt?

The first letter she received from the collection agency said "you have 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt". Obviously she ignored that. Is this her debt?? What type of debt is this?? DVing now could be seen as a stall and could end up getting her sued.

this is pretty clear.they can send a DV,but the collector really isn't obligated to respond.so it isn't tricky at all.they lost the DV window.
