I have to make frequent trips for my business. Recently, I made a trip to Oneonta, Alabama to attend a business meeting. I had used the frequent flier mileage to get the air ticket. Now, I have been asked to show a particular section of 162 that permits to deduct the price of ticket as business expense. Is there any law regarding this?

You dont have a receipt for a ticket as the ticket was free...frequent flyer miles are a perk. No deduction for you.

Be glad that the IRS does not consider the free miles as income or capital gain or they would make you pay tax like on a prize winning. If you donate your miles your can't even take a tax deduction because the IRS puts no value on them
