Well, without my knowledge my checking account has been closed :x Well, i have been speaking with them and just spoke with someone the other day and said everthing was going to be fine, i had a few overdrafts and caused my acct to go neg just over $100  and she asked when i could cover it. I informed her we had deposits going into out account through automatic deduct on fri(yesterday) and we just did our taxes wed and should have deposit in on the 30th and she said thats fine. Well yesterday morning came around and after the deposit, they closed our checking account!!!!
I am still very very upset about this and not sure what to think. I asked what is going to happen to our deposit now and she said they would put it into our savings manually??!!! I am very scared and hoping to GOD that this does happen, i really could use that money, like everyone else, i know never depend on it, but, hey, gotta have some hope somewhere.
This is a credit union and i plan on calling them again on thursday, im just afraid it will hit the system and spit back to them saying accoutn closed, then ill have to wait prob 2-3 months, that would really suck!!
Anyone else have such a situation, or am i alone on this and if for some reason anyone has let me know your outcome or if someone works for a credit union or bank and think this will happen, give me some hope
Thanks for listening and in advance for advice

Im in the same boat. My acct was closed and i dont know why. I had my direct deposit set up and have yet to receive it. The WMR on the IRS site says it was direct deposited but the acct was closed before it hit my acct. I really need my money like yesterday and have no idea of what to do.

I hate to say this but I doubt they can manually place it in your savings.

The whole transaction is electronic. If the transaction hits an account that is closed or there was an error in the routing or account number the transaction bounces back to the IRS and then a paper check is issued. It takes about 6 weeks to get the paper check.
