I am in an IRS audit right now, I have provided what they have asked me and now they are saying it is not good enough. My millage is what is in question, I got a letter from my employer that states there I do not get reimbuirsed for millage and auto. I need help and dont know why they are not accepting the letter. I also have 1099-c which I claimed as a loss but they are insiting I put this as income.

IRS mileage rates have been issued on 13th December 2010. These rates are used to estimate the deductible costs for driving vehicles for various purposes. The new rates are - 51 cents per mile (business purposes), 19 cents per mile ( medical causes), 14 cents per mile (charitable purposes). You should talk to your employer and inform him about this.
