I am currently unemployed right now. But I have worked as a chief accountant for several years. I am searching for a good job right now. My question is, can I get tax deduction on job hunting cost? Thanks in advance.

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
Yes, you can qualify for tax deductions if you are searching for a chief accountant's job. Actually, the rule is, unemployed individuals can get tax deductions when they are trying to find a job in which they have previous experience. You are allowed to deduct the transport cost, recruitment agency fees, etc. You can also deduct conveyance cost, lodging and food cost if you have to go to another city for a job interview.
